Starting today's blog post with Organic Smile Salad; salad that farmers plant with care, produce the high-quality fruits and vegetables!
The green leaves, bright red tomatoes, crunchy bean sprouts, raisins and cashew nut create the taste with combinations of colors!

Recent days, the hazy weather made a lot of my friends sick, it's time to supply ourselves with natural antioxidants and improve immunity system!

The current air and the soil's qualities compared to our grandparents' years are much more polluted, this pollution is affecting the quality of organic vegetables and fruits, the organic plant can't be classified as 'true organic plant'. For example, the recent contamination of haze and smoke in Asian countries, is a nightmare for farmers, plants and people especially those with weakened immunity system. Therefore, Smiledodo advice our dear readers, to wear a mask, eat more fruits and vegetables as prevention.

We have to be thankful, grateful and respect people who work so hard in agricultural tirelessly to provide organic fruits and vegetables for us continuously, meanwhile, thanks everyone who always did their best  working on to protect our earth, provide a healthy environment for our plants to thrive.

Q: Why should we add oil to salad?

A:
Fat is part of our body, the body's cell membranes are made up by fats, good fat can remove the bad fat such as cholesterol and protect cardiovascular health! Secondly, the oil can help the absorption of vitamin ADEK, it is definitely a waste if we consume high quality, nutritious food but did not get absorb by the body isn't it?

Since the body needs oil, let's take good oil !
Good oil contains omega3, omega6. Olive oil or flaxseed oil will be a good choice. Remember, we do not use good oil for frying/ cooking due to it's oxidation property, therefore eat it raw by adding into salads to preserve the omega 3 and 6 .

A person oil intake per day is an average of 5-7 teaspoons. Yes only 5-7 teaspoon! However, the most accurate amount is based on dietitian's formula calculation.
If  we consume fried food, oil intake would certainly excessive, cholesterol & triglycerides will accumulate and add higher risk of stroke, obesity, heart blocking or even diabetes!

Q: I do not like the taste of raw lettuce, can I steam/ stir fry it?
A: human daily intake must contain raw fruits and vegetables to extract natural enzymes. Enzymes are involved in activities of human life, such as exercise, sleep, breathing, digestion, repair, maintain functions of  the immune system and so on... We name enzymes as life force. The enzymes will be destroyed at 47 degrees Celsius,  our diet will be lacking of enzymes if we consumed cooked food for a whole day! Do add on natural enzymes in your diet~

Some enzymes found in raw food are protease in lettuce, papain in papaya and bromelain in pineapple to break down protein, avocado lipase break down oil, amylase of banana break down carbohydrates, maltase decomposes beer and so on...

The human body itself produces enzymes, with increasing age, the amount of
enzyme production will be half or even lesser, so we must consume fruit and vegetable enzymes to maintain health. You may find that by increasing your daily intake of fruits and vegetables, digestion and excretion will be better than before, there will be no bloating and you may feel more energetic!
